“A-10 Dominance & National CONTENDERS.”

Your Back-2-Back A-10 CHAMPS
The 2026 Atlantic-10 Conference campaign was perfect for the Spiders. They were flawless (6-0) in regular season Atlantic-10 play, securing an outright Atlantic-10 regular-season championship.

That momentum carried into another dominant conference tournament run in 2026. Richmond continued its championship run at Robins Stadium. The Spiders defeated UMass 11–7 in the semifinals before taking down Saint Joseph’s 8–6 in the championship game to capture their third Atlantic 10 title in four years and punch their ticket to the program’s 7th NCAA Tournament appearance.

Spiders Make History
We made history in 2026. For the first time in program history, Richmond Men’s Lacrosse climbed to the No. 1 ranking in the country, reaching a milestone built through years of growth, belief, and relentless pursuit of excellence.
What started as building a contender became building a standard. Competing against the nation’s best every week, we proved that Richmond Lacrosse belongs at the top and that our pursuit of greatness is far from finished.
A Battle to the Final Whistle
In the NCAA Quarterfinals, the Spiders went toe-to-toe with No. 1 seed Cornell in one of the most thrilling games of the tournament. In front of a packed crowd, the Spiders showcased their trademark toughness and discipline, trading blows with the nation’s top team in a back-and-forth contest.

Despite seven lead changes and seven ties, Richmond fell just short in a 13–12 heartbreaker, but the performance underscored the Spiders’ ability to compete with the very best on the national stage. The effort was a statement to the lacrosse world: Richmond is not only a contender in the Atlantic 10, but a force in the NCAA landscape.
